Setting up your USD personal account – MAKE

Setting up your USD personal account allows you to send and receive USD under your name. Once completed, you will be provided with an account number, a bank address, and an ABA routing number.

To complete the process, you will need the following documents:

Proof of Address: bank statement, utility bill, or government record issued within the last 3 months. If you have already provided a proof of address during account creation within the last 3 months, the system will not ask for it again.
Proof of Earnings: bank statement issued within the last 3 months. If you have already provided a proof of earnings during account creation within the last 3 months, the system will not ask for it again.

How to apply

On the main page, click Select currency (if you just created your account), or the + icon (if you already have a MAKE account with a primary currency other than USD). If you already have a USD account, click Apply now below the message about getting a USD account under your name.
Select USD, and Open currency account.
Start the identity verification process. Provide personal information and proof of address.
Once done, you'll be redirected to Step 2: Tax Reporting. A DocuSign page will be displayed. Depending on where your business is registered, you'll need to fill out one of the following forms:
- If you're based outside the United States, fill out the W-8BEN.
- If you're based in the United States, fill out the W9.
After signing, you'll be redirected to the last step: set your occupation and proof of earnings.
You're redirected to the You're all set screen. Click Go back to homepage.
You'll see the Hang tight screen while your account is being created. This may take a few minutes.
Once completed, you'll be able to see your account details.
