Understanding failed external bank transfers

If you see a failed transfer to an external bank account, this means the payment could not be delivered to the recipient's bank. The money has already been deducted from your MAKE account and will be returned to you, minus the transactional fee.

Common reasons for a failed transfer include:

• Incorrect or incomplete recipient details
• The recipient's bank account is closed or restricted
• The recipient's bank rejected the payment due to its internal policies
