To complete your application, we'll need you to upload company documents, answer a few questions, and verify shareholders who own more than 5% of the company.
You will need to upload:
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Shareholder structure
- Register of directors
- Memorandum of Association
- Articles of Association
Where to find this documentation:
The best document you can upload is your Incorporation Model Articles Adopted document from Companies House. You can download it directly from Companies House, click HERE, enter your company name, click Filing History, it will be the first document that was uploaded.
This will need to be signed and dated by one of your directors; you can sign by hand or electronically, and date when you signed it (must be within the last 90 days). This will cover you for Certificate of Incorporation, Shareholder structure, Register of directors, and Memoradum of Association.
For the Articles of Association you will need to upload these, it will be a pdf that sets out the rules for how the company is run and governed. It will have been in the package you received from the lawyer or company that set up your company. Make sure this is signed and dated.
Your business application may also suggest you can upload a Certificate of good standing, this is not needed for UK applications, so you don’t need to upload anything.
Shareholders:
Each shareholder will have their identity checked (KYC) who own more than 5%. Once you have submitted your business documents, you will add the shareholders.
Each shareholder will receive an email to complete their KYC. They will need to upload their passport and a proof of address dated within the last 3 months.
Once all business documentation and shareholders identity has been checked, your account will be approved. Usually taking 1-3 business days.
